But since you're here, we'll keep it real with you. We're Pyrelith Forge Architecture, based out of Toronto, and we take your privacy seriously. This isn't just some copy-paste legal jargon - it's about how we actually handle your info when you work with us or browse our site.
When you reach out to us or request our services, we'll ask for the basics - your name, email, phone number, and project details. Pretty standard stuff. If you're just browsing the site, we might collect some technical data like your IP address and browser type through cookies, but that's mainly to keep things running smoothly and see which pages people actually look at.
For actual projects, yeah, we'll need more detailed info - property addresses, budget ranges, design preferences, that kind of thing. Can't really design your space without knowing what you're working with, right?
Here's the deal - we use your information to actually do the work you're hiring us for. That means:
We're not in the business of selling your data or bombarding you with spam. That's not our style.
Sometimes we've gotta share your info with other folks to get the job done properly. This might include:
Everyone we work with is bound by confidentiality agreements. We're pretty picky about who we collaborate with.
Our website uses cookies - those little data files that help the site remember you and work better. We use 'em for basic stuff like keeping you logged into our client portal and understanding which parts of the site people find useful. You can disable cookies in your browser if you want, though some features might not work as smoothly.
We also use analytics tools to see how people use our site. It helps us figure out if anyone actually looks at our sustainability page or if everyone just goes straight to the portfolio (spoiler: it's mostly the portfolio).
We take security seriously around here. All project files are stored on encrypted servers, our team uses secure communication channels, and we've got proper firewalls and security protocols in place. We're not a tech company, but we work with professionals who know their stuff to keep everything locked down.
That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. We do our best, but if there's ever a breach, we'll let you know right away and work to fix it.
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA, specifically), you've got rights. You can:
Just shoot us an email at studio@pyrelithforge.info and we'll sort it out.
For active projects, we'll keep your information for as long as we're working together plus seven years after completion. That's the standard for architectural records and it's required by our professional regulations. After that, we securely delete or archive everything unless there's a legal reason to keep it longer.
If you just sent us an inquiry but didn't move forward, we'll keep that for about two years in case you change your mind, then it gets deleted.
Our website might link to other sites - manufacturers, material suppliers, portfolio pieces, whatever. Once you click through to those sites, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore. They've got their own policies, so check those out if you're concerned.
We love showing off our work (who doesn't?). If we've worked on your project, we'll always ask permission before using photos or details in our portfolio or marketing materials. Some clients want to stay private, others are happy to be featured - totally your call. And if you say yes initially but change your mind later, just let us know and we'll take it down.
We might update this policy from time to time, especially if laws change or we adopt new tools and processes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here. For major changes, we'll send out an email to current clients.
If something in here doesn't make sense or you've got questions about how we handle your information, don't hesitate to reach out. We're actual people, not a corporate legal department, so we'll give you straight answers.

Bottom line: We respect your privacy, we follow the law, and we're transparent about what we do with your information. Architecture is built on trust, and that extends to how we handle your data.
